The Power of Reflection
Over recent months, we’ve completed a massive series of projects that highlight the importance of building capability through reflecting on performance. Engaging with around 70 diverse teams including Sydney Trains, Elders, HealthShare NSW and Commbank, we’ve learnt the power of taking the time to ‘pause and reflect’ to capture the lessons learnt and build capability.

The Power of (Digital) Collaboration
High performing teams work well together and work well with others. In today’s flexible work environment of distributed teams and virtual working, digital collaboration is becoming more and more important, with benefits for both organisations and employees.
According to a recent report by Slack, “Companies that get ahead of transparency, connectedness and collaboration trends will not only find it easier to attract, retain and motivate their people. They’ll also play a far more visible role in the business outcomes every CEO is looking for: innovation, efficiency, customer-centricity and change acceleration.”
We’ve been exploring this topic closely with two of our partners, Innosis and SWOOP Analytics. We’ve found that many teams with access to collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Workplace by Facebook and Slack, are not taking full advantage.
We’re working with partners to shift focus and mindset from ‘collaborative tools’ to ‘collaborative people’.
The Power of Coaching
Change is happening fast. Transformation across digital, markets and operating is challenging many organisations. Teams must deliver against increasingly short deadlines meaning there is little time for capability development, training and practice. Leaders demand the right answers fast with practical and proven tools.
Coaching and mentoring are proving very successful in delivering performance with young teams who understand digital and markets. Teams are successfully merging youth with experience to help overcome the ‘creative tension’ needed to bridge the ‘vision and reality’ gap. Innovation coaching provides leaders and teams with the mindset, skillset and toolset needed to navigate this increasingly complex and fast-changing world.
