Food quality and service delivery can have a significant impact on resident satisfaction, wellness, and staff morale. External audits and commissions are likely to continue to highlight Food Service as a key priority for the sector.
However, there are many challenges in providing nutritious meals to residents in a time and cost-effective way.
With this in mind, we are inviting you – or one of your peers responsible for food service – to join a group of Aged Care managers at a Roundtable to gain insights and find potential solutions around this important issue.
The Roundtable will cover three topics:
- Identify challenges: Aged care leaders have identified issues such as budget, supply chain, waste, menu choice and availability.
- Explore what works: Previous suggestions include greater resident involvement in menu planning, smaller high protein servings and supply chain improvements.
- Identify possible solutions: Can the sector work together to deliver possible solutions such as education, product development or practice improvement?
The Roundtable is limited to 24 participants who have responsibility for food service quality.
When: Wednesday, October 30th (9.00 – 11.00 a.m). Coffee /networking from 8.30 a.m for a prompt 9.00 a.m start.
Where: Wesley Conference Centre: 220 Pitt Street, Sydney
The Roundtable is at no charge. It is an excellent opportunity to talk with peers responsible for food service; to gain insights and take away practical ideas. Participants will receive a Whitepaper summarising key findings from this Roundtable and a similar session in Brisbane.
