Sandra is professional executive director who is passionate about making a difference as a leader. Her strong engagement drives decisions into action. Sandra gives freely of her time to coach and mentor individuals, small business and communities to effectively support and drive change.
Sandra is passionate about innovation and is the Hargraves Advocate in Victoria. Hargraves is known for connecting leaders of innovation who are making a difference. The Hargraves community inspires knowledge sharing to generate new and different perspectives through collaboration with like-minded people across different industries and sectors.
Sandra is also a non-executive director on 3 boards with skills spanning Strategy, Planning, Risk, Governance, Compliance and Innovation across the FMCG sector and Not for Profit Associations.
She has been a Director of the Australian Beverages Council Ltd (ABCL), a member based association for non alcoholic beverages for 8 years and is the current independent Chair and Non-Executive Director. She has recently joined the NSW Advisory Committee for CDS and is also a board member on a Victorian startup.
She has 30 years FMCG experience, previously holding several executive roles within Asahi Beverages. She was the Executive Director for The Better Drinks Company across ANZ with responsibility for the total business unit. Prior to that, she was the Science & Technology Director for Schweppes Australia for 8 years and responsible for innovation, product, packaging, national quality, consumer services and flavour manufacturing. She also has 20 years confectionery experience in various General Manager roles for Cadbury Schweppes across Commercial Planning, Food Service Sales and Strategy & Planning.
Sandra has led both technical and commercial functions, and is known for developing and implementing business change programs at senior levels and across multiple functions.
Her experience extends to mergers and acquisitions, and leading strategic projects across both confectionery and beverages. She was part of the due diligence team that acquired The Natural Confectionery Company (TNCC) and led the integration of TNCC across all business functions as well as transfer the business model to several global business units. She has also managed the divestment of non-core categories such as the Cottee’s Foods business with overall responsibility for the project execution, and the transfer of IP and operational processes.
Her time is spent focusing on the things that really matter and ensuring she is making powerful, positive change.
