Business Innovation Workshop
Business Innovation Workshops are designed to introduce participants to a wide range of innovation processes, models and techniques and are shown as to how these can be applied in their work environment.
In workshops over two days and consisting of 3 modules, these workshops are designed for those responsible for Breakthrough Innovation i.e. new concepts that will substantially change the offerings that your company takes to its customers.
Day 1 is the Foundation module - Innovation Fundamentals.
Day 2 consists of 2 half day modules from the Understanding Innovation Series; Module 2 - Thinking Techniques and Generating Ideas and Module 3 - How to Sell your Idea.
Module 1 - INNOVATION FUNDAMENTALS
Outline: If you are new to innovation you may not know what to expect or how to go about it. Innovation Fundamentals is designed to expose participants to the experience of innovating and building awareness of the issues encountered in practicing innovation. This one-day Foundation module steps through the innovation process focusing on idea generation, capture, promotion and implementation.
Module 2 - THINKING TECHNIQUES AND GENERATING IDEAS
Outline: This half-day workshop introduces the creative process of generating ideas. It will allow participants to explore creative thinking techniques such as de Bono Six Thinking Hats, lateral thinking, TRIZ and others. Understanding these mental processes prepares participants for applying new approaches to a range of innovation opportunities, from the problematic task that plagues the daily activity of the workplace through to the strategic, large and structured project.
Module 3 - HOW TO SELL YOUR IDEA
Outline: "I have a good idea but why won't they listen". If this scenario sounds familiar this workshop will provide some useful tools and techniques to add to your professional skills tool box. Starting from defining the proposition, it works through the pressure points of opposition and places the participant in the role of decision maker. The participant will leave the workshop better prepared and with more confidence about obtaining 'buy-in' for good ideas.
Cost: Members $660 per person per day; non-members $990 per person per day.
