Programs

Hargraves Institute Programs

Hargraves' programs are developed at the request of members and in consultation with members.

Members identify a need within their own organisation for a specific program, however whilst they have the expertise to design the structure of the program, by collaborating with Hargraves and other members they ensure a lead role in designing a comprehensive program that meets a number of key areas.

Hargraves staff are responsible for coordinating the team to design the program - experts and senior staff from member organisations - and take on the role of documentating, implementation and running the program, allowing members to participate in tailored but cost effective program.

Details of our programs, including benefis, costs and contacts, are listed below. If you would like to speak to a member about their participation in a program, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Engagement Program

This program aims to ensure new members are immersed into Hargraves during their first year of membership, providing introductions and connections to existing members and ensuring staff are fully conversant with the benefits and opportunities of membership.

The program and all elements within the program are optional and customised to address new member's specific needs. This should be discussed with Allan Ryan or David Greenwood at the commencement of your membership.

Marco Polo Executive Exchange Programme

Background

When Westpac first considered becoming a founding member of Hargraves Institute, this major Australian corporation saw opportunity in the collaboration network that would enable them to launch a new initiative. The innovation leaders at Westpac had been keen to establish an experience gathering executive exchange programme and asked Hargraves to develop this as a member service for all members to share. Westpac had already called their proposed programme the Marco Polo Initiative, and Hargraves Institute members agreed this would be a fitting title to adopt.

Taking the exploration adventures of Marco Polo as the example on which to base the programme, it was clear that we could encourage the open minded inquisitive nature of an explorer and provide opportunities for member company executives to seek new knowledge and experiences away from their familiar business environment.
