Why Join Hargraves?

Members highlight the key benefits of Hargraves membership as:

"Networking with companies outside your normal area of professional/sector contact. Focus on innovation in all its manifestations. Industrial/commercial focus rather than academic focus."

"Opportunity to collaborate across industries on common topics/problems in a non-competitive manner."

"Networking with other large Australian companies to indentify and share best practices."

"Diversity of innovation collaboration/experience. Connection and discussion with peers."

"No need to reinvent the wheel. Your issues are probably dealt with by the broader group. Collaboration is a strong value and all participants are more than willing to share. The depth/breadth of participating members."

Our current three streams - Leadership, Innovation and Sustainability - address the current key issues for the majority of members and encourage participation from the various departments in each membership. Our goal is to ensure members fully utilize the membership with contacts from across the membership participating in the various programs, user groups and events. We believe that Congress and our Member Forums allow excellent opportunities for members to share their stories and whilst most of these are success stories, members will share experiences where they've tried things that haven't worked. Based on the success of these events we have adapted our Conferences to include a format similar to Congress.

One of the services we offer members are our Member Collaboration Enquiries, which essentially allow one member to ask a question of other members and seek their expertise and feedback. This results in the member being able to speak directly to other members who have been through a similar process or have expertise in the area and are willing to help out. A sample of previously asked questions is available to prospective members upon request.

All new members are offered a customised Engagement Program. One of the key values of this program is the option for new members to host an event. This may be a member forum on a topic of relevance to you or an indepth case study. Either event gives you the opportunity to collaborate with members and get their feedback on issues of specific relevance. As our membership base is quite diverse, this feedback will come from likely new sources and thus provide unique insights for your consideration.

To December 2009, Hargraves has held 193 events with some 3,960 participations. Around 65% of our events are free to members, and around 55% of our events are kept exclusive to members to facilitate collaboration in a confidential environment.

At each membership anniversary Hargraves provides an Annual Report including each membership's participation in each event. A generic version of this report is also available to prospective members upon request.

Company Membership of Hargraves Institute costs $5,500 per annum. This allows access to all programs, events and activities* to any employee within the membership. In addition, new members pay a one-off Joining Fee of $5,500.

New members are offered the opportunity to participate in a customised Engagement Program at no additional cost. The aim of this Program is to ensure that employees within the member company understand the opportunities available to them via Hargraves and experience the various programs and events in order to evafluate their value. This program is tailored to suit each new member and all activities under the program are optional.

Upon request, Hargraves Institute will provide contact details of members who have agreed to provide verbal references on Hargraves membership.

*Note: some events have limited registrations from each member depending on host venue capacity.
