Hargraves Institute
Collective Wisdom
|
|
|
|
The
Hargraves Institute is named after the aviation pioneer and
inventor Lawrence
Hargrave who
believed in open communications and that his inventions were there
to benefit anybody who wished to use them

Background
and Vision
The
Hargraves Institute was founded in July 2006 to provide a unique
and exclusive community of major enterprises to share knowledge,
wisdom and experience in a non-competitive environment for the
purpose of growth and development.
Hargraves’
membership provides a platform for people to collaborate, learn and
engage with peers who are leaders in their field. Organisations
join Hargraves to develop their people and be recognised as leaders
who grow with current and future employees, suppliers, customers
and society.
As a
member driven services enterprise, Hargraves Institute uses
facilitation and collaboration to develop collective wisdom that
addresses issues generated by members.
Founders
of the Hargraves Institute:
The
Hargraves Institute is supported by twelve founding member
organisations who form the Hargraves Institute Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council and Hargraves Institute work closely together
to ensure the following:
- Relevance
of Hargraves activities to members and effectiveness in achieving
member satisfaction and the Institute’s objectives.
- To
formulate opinions regarding future activities and determine if
these should be considered for removal or addition to the
activities schedule.
- To
maintain awareness of other members’ needs and opinions and take
these into consideration when forming opinions for the purpose of
making recommendations.
